Belle Nuit
What happens when two people—one in his early 50s and the other in her mid-40s—decide to make a fantasy come true—and end up learning more about themselves than they expected? Belle Nuit is not a traditional erotic novel. It is a humorous, honest story about love, courage, and the question of who we really are when no one is watching. Told from two perspectives, with Viennese wit and psychological depth

About the book
Clara and Manuel meet online during the first wave of the pandemic. Their goal: a friendship—and more. But there’s one catch: they’re not allowed to meet in person.
Between chat messages and video calls, they confess their fantasies to each other—including visits to a swingers’ club. But when they’re finally allowed to meet for the first time after months apart, it becomes clear to both of them: this is too important to risk. The club can wait.
Two years later, they finally take the plunge—and that’s exactly where the real story begins.
*Belle Nuit* follows Clara and Manuel on this journey: with Viennese wit, Austrian local color, and a healthy dose of self-deprecating humor.
Despite its setting, Belle Nuit is not a classic erotic novel. Intimacy arises less on the page than in the reader’s mind. It is the story of two people in the prime of their lives who discover who they are when fantasy suddenly becomes reality—and that, at this age, there’s still so much left to learn.

About the Author
The idea for *Belle Nuit* came about in 2024 over breakfast at a coffeehouse in Graz, when a friend was philosophizing about the swinger scene. K. M. Singer thought, “That’s material for a novel.” The friend thought, “The world certainly doesn’t need another erotic novel.” Both were right in their own way—which is why *Belle Nuit* didn’t end up being one, but rather a story about what this lifestyle does to people—for better or for worse.
He was encouraged in this endeavor by friends who probably just wanted a break from his endless WhatsApp messages for a while.
K. M. Singer lives in Austria, is the father of two children, and writes under a pseudonym about love, lust, and life beyond conventional relationship forms. Viennese wit and a penchant for the quieter, more honest moments in a relationship run through his writing. Belle Nuit is his debut novel.
